New for 2025
We are deeply honored to display panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt at this year’s Love Wins in Windsor Pride Festival. As one of the largest community art projects in the world, the Quilt is a powerful reminder of the lives lost to HIV/AIDS and the enduring impact on the LGBTQ+ community. Each panel tells a story of love, loss, and resilience—and we invite you to take a moment during the festival to reflect, remember, and stand in solidarity.

Follow the rainbow heart path
Look down to find a trail of colorful chalk hearts winding all around the Town Green—a joyful and heartfelt guide to the AIDS Memorial Quilt, located inside Huerta Gym. Created by our amazing volunteers, this Rainbow Heart Path is more than just art—it’s a walk of love, remembrance, and community.
About the quilt
The AIDS Memorial Quilt is the world’s largest community art project—a powerful tapestry of remembrance, activism, and hope. Conceived in 1985 by activist Cleve Jones, the Quilt now comprises some 50,000 panels honoring over 105,000 individuals who lost their lives to HIV/AIDS aidsmemorial.org+12aidsmemorial.org+12en.wikipedia.org+12. Originating in San Francisco and first displayed on the National Mall in 1987, it has since been exhibited globally and preserved by the National AIDS Memorial, which ensures its stories continue to educate and inspire en.wikipedia.org+4aidsmemorial.org+4en.wikipedia.org+4. Each panel—handmade and deeply personal—tells a unique story of love, loss, and resilience, transforming data and statistics into human connection. We are profoundly honored to feature this iconic memorial at Love Wins in Windsor, providing our community a sacred space to pause, reflect, and remember these precious lives.

Capture a Moment, Honor a Memory
We invite you to visit our AIDS Memorial Quilt Photo Booth, where you can take a photo with a section of the Quilt as your backdrop. This isn’t just a photo—it’s a tribute. A way to carry forward the memory of those we’ve lost and to stand in solidarity with the community that continues to fight for awareness, equity, and care. Share your photo, tag it with #LoveWinsInWindsor, and help keep their stories alive. Because remembrance is resistance—and love endures.
